Brownbacks Racing 2011 Series Finale

29 September 2011  |
It's the final race in the Hope Technology sponsored 2011 series this Sunday. The series which is going from strength to strength from it's early days in 2009 has seen nearly 300 riders race the trails this year. The course design is finalised and is looking really good with an exciting and demanding lap for both the main course and the Have-a-goes/ Lads and Lasses. The trails are a mix of the existing trail centre routes and some interesting sections of "off-piste" trails to link them all together to build into classic MTB XC courses. Brownbacks Racing The team from Hope are bringing their van to assist riders in those last minute repairs and then to present the series prizes of Hope XC wheelsets, brakesets and lights as well as all of the other goodies that we manage to cajole out of them. We proudly have prize equality for women who race our series and we would like to thank all the sponsors that make that happen. We are keen to see women racing and want to encourage them to get their entries in and try racing. The series competitions are all very close with no category with a predetermined winner so there is going to be some great racing as riders try to win not only the race on the day but also to go for series glory. Brownbacks Racing Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue team will be providing their normal high standard for first aid cover for riders and the usual facilities will be available. We also have on-site repair workshop and a cycling smoothie maker for those who fancy some healthy recovery drink. Entries are still available on the day and if you can't ride but want to help out we still need marshals (contact [email protected]), registration is open between 08:15 and 09:30. www.brownbacksracing.co.uk Photos: Gary Brown
